Off-site venues can be public or private. We frequently use unique spaces such as Macquarie Wharf 2, Waterside Pavilion at Mawsons Place, Bangor Oyster and Wine Shed, Salamanca Arts Centre or Avalon Retreat but are just as prepared to travel to a marquee in a private country garden. Large numbers, unusual venues and dietary sensitivities are welcomed as interesting challenges to us. If you need some inspiration about the location for you event, ask us, we’re happy to share our knowledge and experience with you.

Meeting all Needs

Smolt Kitchen’s functions are all about making it easy, both for the organiser and for the guests on the day. Pre-selection of dishes allows the event to run smoothly from start to finish, unencumbered by decisions about food and wine. The style of food lends itself to shared dishes and this allows us to meet the needs of the whole party, no matter how diverse the food preferences are. We are adept at including dishes that accommodate specific guests’ dietary requirements in each course, whilst also offering interesting dishes for the rest of the group.

Smolt Kitchen builds on a wealth of experience gained over nearly a decade where we have honed our skills and systems to seamlessly transfer the quality of our Frank and Smolt restaurants to offsite locations, anywhere, any time. Fresh, Local and Ethical

Our menus reflect the season and we support sustainable, ethical animal husbandry and fishing practices, using free-range chicken and grass-fed, ideally home-produced, beef, lamb, venison or wallaby. We enjoy building solid relationships with specialist growers and artisans around the state and, as a result, we have access to consistently good produce, delivered with efficiency, care and goodwill from farm gate to table.
